Accommodation that benefits rainforest conservation

Stay at Springbrook Lyrebird Retreat or arrange for a group to stay at Koonjewarre. In order to provide funding for Springbrook Rescue, ARCS purchased both of these businesses and made the commitment that all profits would go to Springbrook Rescue.

Both venues are run by highly experienced professional managers.

Springbrook Lyrebird Retreat

Lyrebird Retreat consists of 4 cabins, each in a private, secluded location deep in rainforest. They provide peace and tranquillity with only the sounds of nature to break the silence.
The cabins are named after iconic rainforest birds that underpin World Heritage values — Lyrebird, Bowerbird, Pitta and Rosella.
Lyrebird Retreat is perfect for bird watching.

Koonjewarre

Koonjewarre, a term used by the Kombumerri clan of the indigenous Yugambeh people, translates to "Meeting place on high ground..."  perfectly describing  this accommodation centre in the high country of Springbrook where the “Clouds touch the Earth”!

It provides motel and dormitory accommodation and caters for groups of 40 to 150 people and a variety of outdoor and indoor recreational opportunities.
