Acquisition Principles

Principles guiding acquisitions for conservation

Acquisition of Springbrook properties for conservation has been guided by and has adhered to the following principles:

  • only properties already for sale to be considered
  • properties to be purchased at market price, following independent valuation
  • priority to be given to properties in the high country at the southern end of the Plateau and to properties adjoining the national park or potentially contributing to links between sections of the national park
  • consideration to be given to properties that have approvals for substantial, new developments inconsistent with The Vision
